Global Investing: The LJE First Quarter Outlook

The Year-to-Date and first quarter Performance of the capitalization weighted global strategy are one and the same. The global tilt strategy with a 22.26% decline and the global buy portfolio with a 20.47% loss, outperformed the 22.40% decrease posted by the global benchmark. The global sell portfolio with an 25.24% loss under-performed the global benchmark as expected. The capitalization based international strategy is not faring as well. Only the international tilt strategy with an 24.82% depreciation outperformed the 24.90% decline posted by the international benchmark. The international sell portfolio with a 25.24% decline. As the year progresses, we expect the year to date results validate one of our assertions. That over time the relative cumulative performance will improve as the number of draws increases.
